Bio: I am a 48 year old who, like so many women today, wear multiple hats. I am a mother, step mother, wife, Mimi, friend, Nurse, triathlete, competitor, encourager, supporter, and so much more. I have been doing triathlons since 2009. Starting my journey with my best friend has been such a blessing. Both of us were not necessarily "athletes", older in age, and wanting something for ourselves. Since 2009, I have done multiple events, from sprint triathlons, riding and running events, to 70.3 races (both finished and DNFd) and 4 finished 140.6 IM races. I am less than 4 weeks away from my 5th IM event, and looking for my PR. That PR is set for me, by me. There are faster and stronger athletes out there, always will be. All good with that. It pushes me when I need it, but also allows for me to be encouraging too. There is always someone better than me. That's what keeps me going. Such a healthy competition. I am excited to join a group of women who I am confident relate in so many ways to my story and journey.
